I hope everyone is having a beautiful, happy day, whether you celebrate Christmas or not. (Even if you don’t, it’s still new Dr. Who day, which is reason enough for the world to celebrate. :))
Regularly scheduled programming (i.e. work and site announcements) shall resume later this week, but for now, let’s all just take some time to relax and do whatever it is that makes this day happy and special to us. For me, it’s volunteer duties to hopefully help spread a lil Christmas cheer around (which I just wrapped up for the day :)), then vegging on the couch all bundled up in my Wonder Woman Snuggie whilst I re-watch (for probably the tenth time this season) my favorite cartoon specials.
I think I post these every year, but it just doesn’t feel like the holidays without ‘em, so please allow me to share my Top 3 must-watch Christmas Classics with you (again ;)). There are many more I hold dear to my heart and make sure to watch every year, but these are the ones that truly shout “Hooray, it’s Christmas!” to me.
#1 of all time: Mickey’s Christmas Carol!! I couldn’t find the whole thing, but the song from it is so beautiful, it’s enough to awaken my Christmas Spirit all on its own.
#2: The He-man and She-Ra Christmas Special! This came on TV A LOT this year, which is awesome. I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who remembers (and hopefully cherishes :)) it.
#3: Christmas Comes to Pacland! The Pac-Man cartoon was awesome, so adding Christmas=ness to it makes it pretty much perfect.
Honorable Mention: X-mas Marks the Spot (The Real Ghostbusters). I had honestly forgotten this existed until Fearnet started airing TRG and Tales from the Cryptkeeper together on Saturday mornings. (Hooray for that, btw. :)) This is a great one, though, and shall henceforth be included in my mandatory special watching each year.
And just for good measure, here are some catchy Christmas ditties I’ve been singing a lot this holiday season…Enjoy! (And feel free to sing along with me… :))
(I feel like I need to do a scene with her…Well both of them, really. ;))
And with that, my friends, I leave you to go curl up in my Superhero Snuggie and drink some delicious soy nog.
Merry Christmas/Doctor Who Day to all, and to all a Who Night.
Peace and love,
Doctor Kasey Lou Who
